Carbs will make me fat - Carbs won't make you fat, its the amount of calories that you eat (a consistent calorie surplus) will make you fat. They will only make you fat if you are in a consistent calorie surplus!
You need to do heaps of cardio to lose fat - while doing some cardio will help, you do not need to do excessive cardio to lose fat!
